S’more Bites

I stumbled upon this snack recipe on Cooking Classy and wanted to try it for quite a while now.

I love chocolate, I love me some marshmallows and graham crackers are pretty yummy when accompanies by either of the aforementioned. I altered the recipe a bit btw. So here’s what ya need and gotta do.

Ingredients:
6 graham cracker sheets*, or 12 Saltine or Ritz Crackers (or as many as you wish)
6 large marshmallows (enough to fit your crackers)
12 Hershey’s Kisses, unwrapped (enough to top your crackers)

Directions:
1. Break graham cracker sheets in half.

2.ย Using clean scissors (or a clean knife) cut each marshmallow into 2 halves.

3. Heat oven to Low Broil.

4. Align graham crackers in the center of a cookie sheet about 1/2″ apart from each other.

5. Top each graham cracker with a marshmallow with the cut/sticky side down.

6. Place marshmallow topped graham crackers under broiler (turn oven light on if you have one) DON’T WALK AWAY, watch them closely as they will toast quickly, allow to toast until golden rotating pan with oven mitt as needed.

7. Once golden immediately remove from oven, place 1 Kiss in the center of each toasted marshmallow and gently press down. ย For best results serve warm, just like a real S’more.

8. Enjoy!

I only made six this morning but you can do as many as you wish… or can eat, lol. Below are some shots I took while making them.

You will need: graham crackers, marshmallows, hershey’s kisses.

Try not to eat them all as you cut them – tehe.

Put oven on Broil. Wait a little bit for it to heat up.

Put those sugary babies in! Close oven and wait a couple secs. Remember, DO NOT WALK AWAY.

They will turn golden brown and smell heavenly…

Place Kisses on top. Eat. Enjoy ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. My daughter and I tried these tonight. We (I ) was so anxious to try them as a quick treat. We had only mini marshmellows, I placed kiss in middle and surrounded it with minis. When they were in the oven, I read just marshmellows go in. Oops. But WOW!! Turned out AWESOME!! Loved the runny chocolate, which held shape till you take a bite!!! Love this thanks!!!!

  5. I’m doing these with dove chocolate hearts for valentine’s day because my sweetie loves smores! thanks!

did you use the regular size marshmallows or the jumbo ones?

  6. how would these taste the next day…? thinking about making them as gifts so i won’t be able to deliver them straight out of the oven!

    • Hey Val, I honestly am not sure how it would taste the following day. I’ve always eaten mine straight out of the oven, lol. But I’m guessing it would be fine but your friends may have to reheat to get the yummy, melty effect and fresh taste.

An alternative would be to package them without baking and add the baking instructions so that your friends could bake the s’mores themselves. What do you think about that? ๐Ÿ™‚ Lemme know how things work out for you.

  9. I just made these for me and my girls – I cannot believe I never thought of this – they are PERFECT!! The chocolate is so melty it’s almost better than over a fire. I did not cut the marshmallows so I flipped them after they browned on one side and they were fantastic – thanks for the idea!!

  10. Since it is going to rain our our 4th plans of having fireside s’mores, I plan on trying this, only using a piece of a chocolate candy bar and top it with another graham cracker, like a real S’more.

  14. Made these today. Only thing I added was a second graham cracker on top and squished it. Kids and hubby loved it. I also used my toaster oven, less to heat up. Thanks so much…:-)

  15. Itโ€™s always a request at our holiday cookie exchange at work I always do that. they love them. Iโ€™ve been making them for about six years now super easy and yummy.
